6 North: Visit 6-North, a mixed income, 82-unit multifamily apartment building located in the Central West End of St. Louis, just 4 blocks from the St. Louis University campus. This award winning building is universal throughout! Tour the premises from the streetscape to the apartments. Docents will be available to answer questions. Explore this fabulous park: touch the artwork, create music, and see how many universal features you can identify!
The Loop: Designated as one of America’s 10 Great Streets by the American Planning Association, take a walking/rolling tour the Loop area. Make a list of your greatest ideas to introduce Universal Design features into future development in the Loop. A Tuesday Design Charrette will focus on how universal features, when incorporated into transportation, public space and housing design help to create an ideal walkable, sustainable, attractive and livable community.
